As you may have noticed, we we're offline this morning. This was caused by the "Thanks" plug-in going rogue and using up way too many server resources. This triggered an automatic suspension by our hosting provider as they thought it was a malicious attack. The "Thanks" plug-in has been disabled, hopefully temporarily so I can determine if that was indeed the cause, and take steps to prevent it from happening in the future.

I apologize for the disruption and for any confusion that may have caused.

How are you guys shipping watches?

Post by bc4393 »

My collection is getting a bit unruly and I've got some fluff I want to start offloading. I've always got caught up on the logistics of shipping. What way do you guys ship watches sold at private sale that are cheap for both with and without watch boxes? Do you use a certain size box from fedex, ups, usps? I want to be able to have a semi stable number to have to use for price including shipping included and not get raped when I actually go to ship.

Thank you!

Too big to fail or yard sale they all hale
Run or hide just for fun deals I find

If I'm shipping without original packaging, a USPS Small Flat Rate box and postage purchased through Pirate Ship does the trick. It's easy to compare prices between major carriers there, too.

As the others have said, PirateShip! https://www.pirateship.com/

I often overstate the size and weight of my packages even though I measure and weigh them, just to be on the safe side. PirateShip refunds in the form of site credit when they detect the actual cost of shipping was lower than what I paid. It's happened a few times now.
