Second in a series of threads with information gathered from online sources about lesser known vintage watch brands that are undervalued. This one is a brand that started just before WWII and seems to have died in the Quartz crisis. Feel free to add or correct any details if you know them.
First, an example: Britix circa 1960 with Automatic Fesla 4002, 25 Jewels, Sweep Second Hand, 43hr Reserve, 18000 A/h, LA-52
"Britix Watch Company was founded in 1940 and was originally located in La Chaux-de-Fonds. They moved to Lengnau later on in 1945.
In 1949, they had around 22 employees. Except for Britix, they also made more watches under different brand names, back then there was a
large scale collaboration in the Swiss watch brand sector.
Some believe there was a collaboration between Breitling, Wakmann, and Britix. As the story goes, Breitling made the watches
and Wakmann sold them under the name Britix or Wakmann Britix. Breitling used the Venus movements as well.
Rado, that was located at the same location, also had a collaboration with Britix. You sometimes come across a
Rado "replaced by Britix" watch with a logo combination of the Rado seahorses and the Britix brand."
