Speedmaster at US Space and Rocket Center

I have been a space buff my entire life and a WIS for just two years. The Speedmaster is a grail and I reeeeealllly want to pick on up before the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 this July. My wife knows this . So how cool was it to visit the US Space and Rocket Center and see a Speedmaster that was used in the neutral bouancy tank for EVA training. Then turn around and see a BIG speedy by then Lunar Module! I really thought this might help my cause...but I’m still in the same boat.

It was a cool peice of history where I didn’t expect it. I could have done without the note about rusting

You got a better picture than I did, but it's still 10:08! Someone knew what they were doing, or someone else said, "let me see that for a second.... "

I have been eating at Bandito Burrito for a loooong time, but haven't eaten there in a few years. Thanks for the reminder!

That's pretty cool.

I've seen the Speedmaster Frank Boorman wore during the Apollo 8 mission. It's always interesting to see a piece of history, especially when it involves interests converging.

You're about 45 minutes from the Unclaimed Baggage Center in Scottsboro
Ton of deals to be found there on anything and everything.

The place is MASSIVE and has just about anything you can imagine for sale.
Last time I was there they had three jewelry counters full of men and women's watches.
Along with a few tables full of watches you could look through.

But then there's clothing, books, electronics, sporting goods, you name it....
