Can't say I've had the brew, but I love their old panorama signs. Fond memories as a kid eating burgers at the bar with my old man, watching this sign roll around:

It's Easter, so I'm raising a mug of cocoa to all the chocolate rabbits out there. Confession: I drink this stuff all the time w/o sugar or milk, just cocoa powder and hot water. I love it. But to prove my tough guy creds, I also enjoy good stout and ouzo (just very rarely any more). The fact I drink my cocoa out of a jar, I suppose, is harder to justify ;-)

It's really no better than any other mass produced lager. I like it because of the local connection, and because it's inexpensive.

Really, that's the keyword. It's inexpensive, but it's not cheap if that makes sense. It's a great summertime hanging out outdoors beer.

(And to shore up my "beer snob" chops, my other favorite summer beer is this: http://bauhausbrewlabs.com/blog/2018/ge ... t-pants-on)

+1 for the local brew. Shiner is the mass produced brew of Texas, esp. their bock. Texas has some legit German roots. When I lived in Boston I drank Sam Adams. Funny thing is that it tasted better in Boston than in California -- fresher, I guess. IMO, Sierra Nevada is the west coast choice, though I'll gladly concede to better educated palettes (i.e., anybody, lol).

Here is Shiner's spokestruck (more photos here):

Shiner is great stuff! My favorite mass-produced (now) beer. Drank it growing up in Big D and Austin...love it to this day.

Is this your wedding? Or are you part of the wedding party?

Part of wedding party. One of my best friends got married

Now enjoying a beer from Braindead Brewing in Dallas. The lady and I are enjoying last day of "vacation" before flying back to NYC tomorrow.

Finishing off what's left of an impulse buy. Not terrible but I won't be getting it again.

Saw it was on tap at my local beer shop. I hate ciders so didn't try it, but had never heard of it before.

Worth a try if you want something sweet. I would have been happier to buy 1 can instead of 6.

I don't drink coffee as often as I used to, but when I do I make espresso with Peet's coffee. Toasted bagel with cream cheese off camera. Confession: I cleaned my espresso pot for the shot ;-)

Is that a G-Shock size espresso cup?
