I have one of these. Sitting in it's box, unsized and unworn with all plastics. Picked it and two 033s up when Amazon had them on the cheap. I was gonna keep it, but my dad fell in love with it. I told him I sold it. Since he is a definite WIS and even offered to trade me his Squale for it, it is gonna be his Christmas/thanks for all you did for my wedding present. Same with the other 033. It is going to the father in law in the same manner.

As much as I love it, it would compete for the same wrist time the 065 and SJE073 already fight for. But man, every time I look at it, it is love all over again. The SARB033/035 are well hyped for good reason, they are borderline the perfect all around watch.

That's a really great gift man. I agree it doesn't make a great deal of sense for you to own it, but none of this really makes a great deal of sense lol. I would probably always want to wear the SJE if I wear you. Never been a very big **** Time fan. If I were you I would still maybe borrow the 035 from your dad once in a while. I always keep the 033 on the bracelet and usually switch brown leather straps on the 035. Honestly those 2 watches are partly what keep me from moving upmarket with my purchases. They are exactly the point of diminishing returns IMO. I would probably have to move way up to your SJE to see a big jump in quality. I'm selling some new ones now but both of the 033 and 035 that I actually wear were both pre-owned and less than $300. That's just really tough to beat.
Good points. When I look at the 035, I kinda feel foolish spending what I did on the SJE or even the **** time. The SARB035 is just so. . .perfect. I like the size much better than the SJE or 065. While I can pull them both off, and they are not obnoxious, I can't help but think how perfect they would both be at 38mm.

At least I can always borrow my dad's(once he gets it!). Good thinking! He is a little more reckless than I, but we have an agreement that I can borrow his, but he can't borrow mine. Mostly.

Was this thread about to go a week without an update? I still have my Old Fashioned mix and bitters but only have Irish whiskey in the house. This is made with Jameson Black Barrel.

I feel bad for having not posted here lately. I will make up for it with quantity, not quality!

I'd call that making up for lost time! Did your father and/or father-in-law go back to Benihana? Looks like a Sake Bomb.

It's almost five o'clock somewhere. This cheap cab from Trader Joe's jumped out at me because they put Lodi so prominently on the label. I figured that only a winemaker with pluck would brag about Lodi. I can't tell yet what it's like -- I'm letting it breathe.

Update: It's been an hour, and this wine is truly awful. It hits my palate at different places with jarring, discordant sensations. Welles would not be amused. *sigh* Some people buy lottery tickets, I buy cheap wine. I should stick with Guinness.

Did you mod another leather strap for your Timex Rugged? Or did it simply fit on there as is?

I just moved the Fossil strap I'd modded for my G onto my Timex Rugged. It's loose (16mm -> 18mm), but I don't notice. I have a black nato from CheapestNato on the way that I plan to mod for the Timex.
