As you may have noticed, we we're offline this morning. This was caused by the "Thanks" plug-in going rogue and using up way too many server resources. This triggered an automatic suspension by our hosting provider as they thought it was a malicious attack. The "Thanks" plug-in has been disabled, hopefully temporarily so I can determine if that was indeed the cause, and take steps to prevent it from happening in the future.
I apologize for the disruption and for any confusion that may have caused.

Not too shabby. Dial measures a nice 31.7mm, so that is a little more dial to work with. Unfortunately my inverted designs aren’t printing crisply. Also part of the sheet prints fuzzy, so I am looking at printer settings/maintenance.

Update- ended up killing the movement on one watch. I also had trouble with the seconds hand. Don’t ask. Anyway, I used a work-related design, and it came out OK. I needed to prime the dial as you can read the Nixon text through the dial. The paint is drying now and I should have another chance at this tomorrow.
The hands are 1.2/0.8, so I could theoretically find replacement hands. The baron hands don’t look terrible, but I am thinking that there is something better out there for this watch.

The primer will let the white be whiter, so I am looking forward to see what it ends up looking like when all is said and done.

It isn’t perfect, but it is probably the best MoT watch out there so far.

The dial was sanded to the brass and primed. A new dial decal was printed, applied and cooked on with a heat gun.

Re: Post your mods here!
Let's get this out of the way first. I do all my mods on paper plates. You wouldn't want to use nice dinnerware, would you?! And I always wipe the BBQ sauce and cheese curl dust off first. After that, I dropped the movement, dial, and handset from a FRANKENPADI Turtle into an SKX009 case. The guy that sold me the turtle on ebay said that he sold a legit PADI Turtle and the first buyer swapped out his 4R36 and PADI handset for a 7S26 and a SKX handset and butchered the chapter ring in the process. Then the buyer returned it apparently. So he disclosed all of this so not many people bid and I got it super cheap. So now what I have post-swap is a SKX009 with a 7S26 with Arabic day wheel, a PADI dial, and the SKX handset. I may keep it like this or I may swap in a legit PADI movement, dial, and hands. I have another used PADI Turtle already on hand. I don't care too much about the upgraded movement but I just have to decide if I want the red minute hand or not. Also, I have to decide if I want to change out the chapter ring on the SKX to one that better matches the dial. I've seen some that are more of a Save The Ocean royalish blue but I'm not sure they would work with the dial. What I may do instead is keep this darker chapter ring but paint the thicker 5 minute marks red. What do you guys think? And then I have the SKX009 movement, dial, and handset in the SRPA21 case with the messed up chapter ring. Eventually I'll sell off the legit Turtle and the Frankenturtle. And keep my PADI SKX009 and buy a Super Oyster or President/endmill bracelet for it. And life will be good.

A new bezel, insert and bracelet for the Sporkboy Amphibia. Cleaned it up after these pics were taken, and I have to do some more adjusting of the bezel spring as the rotation is very tight.

On ebay, you can buy seiko 6105 homages. I bought an example with this sterile dial.
Do you guys think they use the same dimensions on the bezel like the skx?
So if I wanted to change bezel or insert, I could Just buy a bezel for the skx?
I really do believe so, because I dont see why they would make a whole new bezel for this model, when there is so many options out there.
But it would be great to have it confirmed.

Finished up the 2nd father's day present for the FIL(the other is for my dad). I had Mrs. Dub Rubb pick out the dial, handset and bezel insert. Being that they are both huge warriors fans, she went with a warriors themed FFF mod. Probably not the route I would have gone, but the end result is fantastic (IMO). Here is her dad's and my dad's.
