This is one strange watch. Not sure what to make of it. Well built with SS case and the dial is quite interesting and at the same time odd. Not sure if there is an actual meaning to the last 25 min on the bezel going from 12 hour markers to 5 min increments.

I put this on the timex rubber strap that came with the Three for the Orange Highlights.

Thank you Pachuco!

That is too bad. I should have realized it didn’t rotate because the numbers flip at 4-8 vs a rotating bezel that doesn’t do that.
Well, it photographs very well!

Thanks for posting. Just FYI, that light yellow strap without holes is referred to as a perlon strap. This style of strap is perfect for warmer months as they are lightweight and breath well.

These early Timex autos are way underrated.

But if you know of Dr. Roland Ranfft, he is very impressed by the movement. From a Timex posting in the Vintage forum on WUS:

"(The movement) belongs to the most sophisticated automatic designs ever, as described here:

Nearly new Eichmueller diver with quartz Miyota 2035. 38mm without lugs, 22mm bracelet. Bought this and then realized it was too similar to my Poseidon to get any wrist time. I resized the bracelet, then tried a nato strap but have never worn it and never will. Includes extra bracelet links. Goes to first to PM who is willing to pay shipping from Germany (should be ~€6-8 to Europe, $10-15 outside).

May better be "pay to space".

Say,

1. Every recipient pays $10 or more to a fund which may someday be spent on a ticket to space, costing $250,000 now.

2. Every donor is granted a slim chance to get that ticket. Odd is determined by dollars under donors' belt.
Example: donor A gifted 250 watches, each recipient payed $10 into donor A's name, donor gained 1% chance for the space ticket. Donor B also gifted 250 watches, though each recipient payed $100 into donor B's name, donor B gained 10% chance.

How can I test whether an unused, packaged battery is still any good? I have a few from multi-packs I bought over the years, but I don't know how old they are or even where I bought them. They have been stored indoors where the temperature is regulated.

If I was sure they were good I'd post them here.

Googling around, I find advice like this: Measure the battery's voltage with a voltmeter, and if the voltage is 90% or less of the advertised voltage then it's bad.

Is that all it takes? Thanks.
