Upcoming Watch-Related Events

Post by yinzburgher »

Do you know of an upcoming event involving watches? Post it here. Include the what, where, when, who, and any other details you can provide. Please at the very least provide a link if possible. It doesn't matter if the event is large or small or whether it is local to you or not. I realize that we are scattered around the globe and many of the events won't be relevant to all of us but I do think posting them all in one place could be interesting and helpful.

I think I am gonna go to Wind Up this week. I am gonna leave my credit cards at home though. The wife to be would kill me if I came home with something after complaining just today how expensive our wedding bands are (I would have been just fine with titanium Dammit!!!). Pick your battles though I guess. Maybe I will bring my dad along and see about an early wedding present lol.

Leaving the credit cards at home might be a good idea. Also I imagine most of the watches won't be discounted. And when you're used to buying good deals like you are, it makes it tougher to pay full price. It's still gonna be cool to see all those smaller brands in person. I'm a bit jealous. Have fun man!

Lol. Have great time...and don’t go too crazy with cash! Maybe snap a few pics to share with those of us who are less lucky and cannot go. :(

I am not sure if WatchBox is throwing this event or part of it.
Either way, WatchTime New York is happening towards the end of October.

Day 1 of Virtual MicroLux was interesting.
I was introduced to a number of brands that I wasn't too familiar with.

There seems to be a missed opportunity to show content from the featured brands between each session, but instead there was anywhere from 5min to 1/2 hour of dead time during the stream. But they were able to keep the streamed event going throughout the day, so they have that going for them.

After the final presentation, they had a couple of the brands host breakout zoom meetings.
I joined the one from Norqain. Good to chat with their Managing Director, Emmanuel Bütler.

If you have any interest or a free Saturday/Sunday, I'd recommend popping in for the other scheduled presentations.
