A watchmaker must make a watch,
I hope I can assume,
With a rotating bezel
That’s thin, and has good lume?

I’ve looked, but find them very rare
I say, to my chagrin,
A watch with good lume,
Rotating bezel, and also thin.

Where in the duce, or rather,
Where in the devil,
Is a thin watch with lume
And a rotating bezel?

What about a Nezumi Corbeau?

120 click bezel
11.75 thick (not including glass, not sure if this is a deal breaker)
lume looks... decent? http://www.thetimebum.com/2018/03/nezumi-corbeau.html
I wish that watch were 38mm?

Again, not in your budget range.
But if you want to spend more to get what you're looking for, take a look at the Orion Calamity.

If you are interested, I know Nick had made some 12 hour bezels along with the regular dive bezel. Not sure if those are still in stock or not.

I am becoming mildly obsessed with this quest. Here's two good Seiko options with (hopefully) Seiko lume.

SRP477 - in stock at Joma
11mm think
Unidirectional bezel

SNZJ41 - harder to find
12mm thick
Unidirectional bezel

I wish that watch were 38mm?

Thanks guys! Several more interesting watches of which I was not aware. I *had* heard of the Calamity and should look at it more closely, it's beautiful...unlikely I'd wear it at that price, just stare at it in the case. (JohnP, do you actually own that lovely thing?) Nezumi, never even heard of before, thanks for the lead. And an UNTHICK Seiko! What a find! I am selling my Seiko 5 SRPB79 (just too darned thick) and would love to own another Seiko that's slimmed a little. Will check it out.

I'm also eyeballing this watch, an Alba (Seiko owned) AQGJ402. Adding this crumb trail for others who are likewise afflicted, as well as for those (such as Booourns) who are only slightly obsessed. It's 11.7mm x 42.3mm. Not the most beautiful, or the thinnest, but if it has good lume, and a white dial, maybe?

That SRP477 is listed elsewhere at 14mm thick. Take a look at a side view and you'll agree it's not slim. I don't think a robez Seiko 5 exists that's <12mm. Would love to be wrong.

Next up, trying Boston Charlie's Sea Force Wenger. 10.6mm thick, ro-bez, and we'll see what the lume is like tonight. Review here:

A personal message from the great TheJohnP alerted me to this watch, the Ratio II Free Diver aka 22AD202.

It's 43mm diameter and only 10mm thick and what may be good lume, or at least lots of it! Quartz, 200M rating, sapphire, screw-down crown.

I don't know how TheJohnP found it, but he did, and I'm thrilled. Thank you, Mr. P! Have ordered, will report when it arrives.

The one thing that's got me nervous: Can't find a description where it says the bezel rotates :? But why...
(1) the upside down "30";
(2) grippy bezel;
(3) glow pip;
(4) 200M rating and "diver" name;
(5) visual gap between bezel and watch body from side;

...if it doesn't? This seems a strange watch on which to fake a rotating bezel.

Stock photos for now:

Congratulations, very nice looking watch. Fear not...you can see the rotation in this video:

TheJohnP scores with the Ratio Free Diver! Wearing the watch tonight. Much nicer than I had expected. And it really is thin, 10.2mm thin! Will review, and post a link when the review's up. Lume testing tonight.
