Doing just fine here. There's a reason why I put up with the traffic, high cost of living and insane real estate prices of the California coast. :-)

I agree 100%. Home/rent prices, traffic, cost of living all worth it for year round shorts and summer tires. And being able to have winter if I want it(Lake Tahoe is about 3 hours away) justify just how stupid much we pay around here.

It's what inside that counts! Good to see it being put through it's paces. You almost had me picking up 2 more 8926s on prime day, but willpower prevailed(well that and time ran out when I finally decided to pull the trigger).

At first I thought this was a 007 with a different second hand. Then I remembered about the 013. How do you like it size wise? I think my dad has one that I may need to borrow as my preference has been shifting towards smaller watches.

Have fun in Chicago! I had a great time in that city and one of the top 3 steaks of my life. I would also recommend the riverboat architecture tour. Very interesting and they serve adult beverages on the boat. Not something I would have normally done, but the Mrs. and I really enjoyed it.

Great looking Turtle. And you are really selling me on the Erica straps. I toyed around with picking up one of the AliX knockoffs, but think I should just splurge on the real thing.

Also, your wife made a great choice. I presume that you had some influence in that decision?

My daughter picked this one for me to wear today. ‘01 Timex Ironman. This was a purchase to remind me of the first digital watch I purchased back in the day (‘93). A special watch to me, but non-compliant.

Thanks! I do think Erika's straps are worth the premium. Haven't tried the Ali Express ones, but I have a couple of knockoffs from WatchGecko. They're OK; the strap is a bit softer and more easily stretched, and the hardware is thinner. I also noticed a faint but distinct odor that the EO straps don't have. Overall, I prefer Erika's.

Definitely. [emoji6]

Truth be told, after 19 years together, we tend to be very direct with gift-giving, telling each other exactly what we want. And sometimes we even buy things ourselves and say, "Here's what you're giving me for _________." Works extremely well. [emoji16]

Back later with my watch of the day after I've had more coffee...

Same watch as yesterday, but still compliant for Signed Crown Sunday. Bonus beverage compliance as well.

Recycled picture but I wore my father's day watch (or "the special watch" as my son calls it) to church this morning. Then it has been the running watch the rest of the day.

Good news and bad news. Bad news: I forgot what the theme was for today when I was getting dressed and leaving home. Good news: This was purchased from the deals thread. Believe it or not this is the only watch I have purchased from the deals thread, although yinzburgher almost got me this past weekend with the certified watch store link!

Also, trying to take a picture at an angle where this watch doesn't dwarf my wrist.
