Sneaking in a last minute check in for Seiko Saturday. This is the watch my wife isn't a huge fan of after I explained to her that "chicks dig orange divers". This is BY FAR my most complimented watch. Sorry for the bad pic, no natural light left outside. Got a new watch in for tomorrows compliance!

I was gonna save this for Tool Watch Tuesday, but one of my new arrivals is compliant today! Bonus carnivore compliance with a sous vide tri tip, some grilled onions and bacon for sandwiches. Didn't take any pics of the sous vide Ahi tuna steaks I made for dinner, they were gone the second they got seared.

Nice one Dub. That’s the NTH Tikuna with a Kontiki inspired dial. I love that dial design and might have to try and do something similar, though it may be a stretch for my design skills.

LWDS (The Legion of Watch Deal Seekers)

Post by Sporkboy »

Happy Mod Monday everyone.

Today I have a prototype ‘presenter’ watch made in collaboration with Cayaboo and Bolster over on WUS. I was never able to get this as nice as I would have liked so I kept it for my ‘nice effort pile’.
The idea is that at the end of your presentation, the watch will show a slowly disappearing seconds hand. The base is a Timex Expedition Alarm model that is a compressor-style case in which you have control over the inner dial to which I have affixed the ‘wave’.

Not a true mod just a strap change, but at least I'm compliant! Watch came with a black racing strap and I switched out to brown. Image

This is really interesting. Very cool watch for Mod Monday. I really like the idea behind it, and personally think the execution was well done!

Great strap choices on both of these! It always amazes me how much a strap can make or break a watch. These are definitely both "makes".
