Re: LWDS (The Legion of Watch Deal Seekers)
May I suggest passing the time by taking a look at your strap collection for things that will go well with the watch? I mean, just to pass the time...I'm not trying to enable you to go shopping, or anything . I didn't have any straps with yellow or red in them but this thing made me change that.nicegator wrote: ↑Tue May 19, 2020 5:01 amNice arrangement!Split-Time wrote: ↑Mon May 18, 2020 9:43 pm This has become my home quarantine watch so I wore it most of the day. Probably the best $70-something dollars I have spent.
I’ll change it up when I go to the office.
Reminded me about my and my wife's order from Meranom, which was shipped 2 months ago exactly, and still sitting somewhere at Moscow airport. Makes me sad and craving for hard liquor.

Is he from a Netflix show or something?
Just kidding. Though I'm 32, I know who he is. But I'm sure many my age and for sure younger do not

Re: LWDS (The Legion of Watch Deal Seekers)
I was only half serious, but that reminds me of a conversation I had with one of my favorite professors not too long ago. We were talking about generational differences in students. He started mentioning all of the things he is not allowed to do or say and a lot of them were related to sensitivity. I told him that I really appreciated his honesty when I was his student, telling me to suck it up, etc. He knew how to get the best out of me and sometimes that wasn't comfortable.
Then he said, "If I have to attend one more sensitivity class I may just hang it up. Plus, I can't tell Johnny Carson jokes anymore." I said, "OH NO? What's wrong with Johnny Carson???!!!" He replied, "Oh, there's nothing wrong with Johnny Carson jokes. But none of the student's know who he is anymore."

Re: LWDS (The Legion of Watch Deal Seekers)
Thanks, great advice. However, for the incoming ( hopefully) watch I already ordered and received from Sweden the strap below. I think it should work together.Split-Time wrote: ↑Tue May 19, 2020 10:24 amMay I suggest passing the time by taking a look at your strap collection for things that will go well with the watch? Ooooo, I like this idea!!! And yes, I know who Carnac is, my parents watched Carson when I was little and would sneak in a viewing here and there.Split-Time wrote: ↑Tue May 19, 2020 10:39 am

I tried (or intended) to post pictures twice yesterday only to leave the post open on my phone. It was one of those days . Here is last night’s watch.

Re: LWDS (The Legion of Watch Deal Seekers)
Many years ago my Grandfather gave me pre-WWII ARSA watch, one of the issued for German Wehrmacht. Per my research ARSA was one of the pretty famous today brands that supplied for German military. My Grandfather's watch was an Allies trophy. The watch got lost, and I found the pictured one on German eBay. It looks very similar, except the back has some English text. Some substitute for a sentimental value, I guess.
