Thank you. Good to know. I'll be ordering from them again soon to try one of their rubber straps so I may pick up one of those too.Split-Time wrote: ↑Mon Jul 15, 2019 5:32 pmOf course I remember. I just purchased it . That is “Classic Canvas Gray” from cheapestnatostraps.com. I said somewhere else on here that had I known how nice they would be for the price I would have grabbed a few more. I used the code “manontime” for 15% off.yinzburgher wrote: ↑Mon Jul 15, 2019 4:50 pmNice combination. Do you remember the brand of the strap?Split-Time wrote: ↑Mon Jul 15, 2019 8:19 am The Nacken is on a leather backed canvas strap for Mod Monday .

Compliant on Mod Monday. Almost wore it yesterday, but I am not sure how much I trust the WR on a mod built on my coffee table.

This was my favorite for most of 2018. I have never tried it on NATO's rubber or leather, but that will probably change soon.

Tool Watch Tuesday with the Citizen "Prime" BN0150-28E. Its blue sibling the BN0151 is currently just $90.99 on Amazon for Prime Day, and if you don't have one and don't pick one up at that price, you're missing out big-time.

Nacken Renegade got the nod for TWT. This dial is really cool. This is the same watch, in the same room, with just a little turn of the wrist.

Re: LWDS (The Legion of Watch Deal Seekers)
Yesterday I finally received the CW bronze I ordered in the CW summer sale, delayed arrival thanks to DHL.
I'm really impressed by the quality and even though it's on a leather strap it's pretty heavy. It's definitely a solid watch. At 43mm it makes a bold statement, even on my roughly 8" wrist.
This was in the"nearly new" category and the patina has slightly begun on the bezel. The bronze of the case is still shiny new, but there are a few minor marks on the buckle.
The strap says it's vintage oak leather but the outer surface is textured with a feel more like suede. Kudos to CW for providing an OEM strap I can actually wear. On most OEM leather, I'm usually on the last hole or two anything often can't even wear them, but with CW I'm on the 4th from last hole, perfectly wearable.
Overall a great purchase so far, thanks to the HU thread.
Edit: Oops, I think this should have been posted in the "Show of you new watch" thread.

I love the patina on the falcon. It is a well loved toy and seems like it fulfilled its purpose well. I much prefer things like this to be broken in than pristine. It tells a far richer story that way.Split-Time wrote:I climbed up in the attic with a flashlight for this Sporkboy and TheJohnP. My first post in this thread, so hopefully I'm doing this right. Doubly compliant with a 90s Vintage Vostok.

Re: LWDS (The Legion of Watch Deal Seekers)
My son and I were talking a few weeks ago about some of his toys. I mentioned that one of his Star Wars toys used to be mine and that I might go up in the attic and bring a few more down. His eyes got big and he said, "There are TOYS in the ATTIC? STAR WARS toys??? To your point, I didn't realize that the Falcon had "patinaed" the way that it has until I took the picture.Sporkboy wrote: ↑Wed Jul 17, 2019 12:20 pmI love the patina on the falcon. Re: LWDS (The Legion of Watch Deal Seekers)
This has nothing to do with compliance, but I DO have a pic of a watch on the Falcon as well! I was doing a job for a preschool, and saw this in the toy room and just had to take a pic. It was a while ago, but still worth sharing. I will be back later for compliance pics.Split-Time wrote:I climbed up in the attic with a flashlight for this Sporkboy and TheJohnP.
