I’ve been enjoying this cover of Summertime that I came across a couple days ago.

Ah Gershwin's "Summertime". Very, very well done!

This my favorite (loose) cover of the song:

Followed by Lana Del Rey's cover of that cover:

I was first expecting a cover of this Summertime  :

I let the streaming service AI pick a playlist for a change and came away with a couple new goodies.

It also reminded me how hard the Foo Fighters rock. Not terribly productive for listening during work time though, because I just want to stop everything and play air drums.

I have been enjoying Marcus King quite a bit lately. I'm digging the revitalization of blues/soul thats come out in the past 5 or so years.

I agree completely and I hope it continues to grow. They blocked Spotify on our work computers so now I mainly listen to blues compilations on YouTube and there’s so much great stuff out there I never would have found otherwise.

Hear me out on this one. The new Taylor Swift album is good, and a different style from her past work. A few highlights:

You should never judge a book by its cover, and that analogy fits Post Malone perfectly. The guy is super talented and I often enjoy watching his covers more than his original music, be it covering Elvis, Bob Dylan, Oasis, or others.

This is probably the best I've seen and the best Nirvana covers I've seen. He, Travis Barker, Nick Mack, and Brian Lee could make a killing touring small venues (like First Avenue here in Mpls) doing this setlist.

I've been revisiting some older Neil Young lately. Specifically, the ditch trilogy albums.

From On The Beach: For The Turnstiles.

A little Frankie Goes To Hollywood....

I had to change videos for this post. That other version of this song made me feel like a needed to take a shower...for a week.

Here's the MTV version. I had no idea there were several different video's of this song.
