Re: Best TV Show
My 14 yr old son and 11 yr old daughter watch the show with me. Whenever my son gets hungry for a snack or meal he'll look at me and say, "I'm hungry Shawn". To which I reply, "C'mon son!"followed by "Wait for ittttttt". And he replies back, "I know that's right.".Dub Rubb wrote: ↑Thu Jul 16, 2020 10:57 pmLate to the party here, but I love Psych! And all of Gus' introductory nicknames. Also, who could forget Pierre Despereaux!Rocat wrote:Quatro queso dos fritos.
Of course we'll stop for tacos.
Push the Jackal button Shawn.
I'm hungry Shawn.
The deal has always been we split the Dead Guys food 50/50.
Go ahead. Go ahead. I'll slap you Shawn.
You must be out your Damn mind Shawn.
Lassie. Your place is haunted!!
And any scene where they scream like girls and run away. The Mummy episode is funny.
Dual Spires is hilarious. Some of the characters name were anagrams of their Twin Peaks names.
And my personal favorite, "I'm like an Angel Baby swaddled in a cocoon of cloud candy.
I watched this show all the time and never noticed how much Gus is always wanting to eat

When he wants mexican he just says he wants Quatro Queso dos Fritos.
My favorite dinner quote is "We split the food of the dead 50/50. That's always been the deal.
I forgot about "Rockin' Nuts"
I ask him all the time if his "Player phone" is blowing up. I'm waiting for him to walk up to a girl and say, "Hellooo" and "You heard about Pluto? That's messed up right?".
I have also been known to say, "I'd rather shower with a bear.".

Re: Best TV Show
Just finished watching Close Enough on HBOMax.
I was a fan of Regular Show, so enjoyed this series as well.
More focused on adulting, but still as surreal. And definitely NOT FOR KIDS.

I'm a few years late to the party, but I signed up for Netflix last month. I've binged on Iron Fist and it was decent. I've finished Season 1 of Dare Devil and I liked it. Vincent D'Onofrio as Wilson Fisk was very good imo. The stunt action in this series, I think, is crazy good.

Now making my way through the Umbrella Academy. I just finished season one. Not bad for entertainment.
The young actor that plays #5 could pass for a version of Dick Grayson. Or better yet, a version of Damian Wayne.

The only problem I have is they're releasing it weekly.
So no binging.

Re: Best TV Show
I don't get to watch much grown up TV, but my wife and I have been enjoying the animated kids show Bluey with our son. I recommend it for our crew with young children. The episode "sleepytime" really got me in the feels in a way that I was not expecting. It features "The Planets" by Gustav Holst and is very well done.
I think that episode is only 7-10 minutes long. It is also good for a laugh if you have (or had) kids that had trouble sleeping by themselves. You can find Bluey on the Disney+. My son also says that is is available on the Disney Now app, but I have not verified that.

Re: Best TV Show
Just watched the first episode of High Score on Netflix. It's a documentary on the gaming industry, starting with the 70s. Pretty good so far, lots of nostalgia.

Not for the faint of heart- Banshee
Made by Cinemax, so a bit of nudity, but Holy Hades, first episode reels you in and has you on the edge of your seat. Hard to watch more than 2 in a row, you have to process what happened.
Lucifer on Netflix is excellent, not what you expect from the Devil-

Mrs.MoT and I have been watching "Taxi" on CBS All Access. Easy to see why the show was such a monster hit when it first broadcast.

I agree. It’s almost like a Broadway production. Just a bunch of comedians on stage.ManOnTime wrote:Mrs.MoT and I have been watching "Taxi" on CBS All Access. Easy to see why the show was such a monster hit when it first broadcast.
I cycle through Frasier and start over when I’m done. That’s what I watch when I can’t find anything else. It never ceases to amaze me how good that cast is. Incredible actors and writers. Kelsey Grammer is impressive.

Re: Best TV Show
Just finished the second season of Stranger. Oh my goodness! If you're into criminal/legal thrillers, this will be your jam. It will take some investment though, especially if you're a slow reader like me. The show is Korean with English subtitles and they talk pretty fast, so get ready to pause and rewind.

Re: Best TV Show
Does it end with a massive cliffhanger? Friends didn't tell me about that when I watched Kingdom (another great Korean show btw) and I had to wait a year for season 2 to come out to find out what happened!! It was torture.peskydonut wrote: ↑Tue Nov 03, 2020 4:26 pm Just finished the second season of Stranger. Oh my goodness! If you're into criminal/legal thrillers, this will be your jam.
