Anti-magnetic iphone case

Post by watchpalooza »

Does anyone know if these exist? The magnetic field from my iphone is crazy strong, making it difficult to avoid subjecting my watches to it....also probably not healthy. A compass registers it even 18-20" away. Ideal would be a phone case that contains / blocks the field.

The only thing that seems to come up is protection from RF & ELF radiation and/or RFID blocking

Far and wide I will find 'em and I ride 'em
Bricks and mortar get my licks just for kicks
AD or authorized I don't analyze
Retail, wholesale never fail
Online or offline, I find I don't redefine
Too big to fail or yard sale they all hale
Run or hide just for fun deals I find

Seems like something that could block the magnetic field would also shield your phone from the RF it needs to communicate. Maybe use a Bluetooth earpiece so you can leave the phone in your backpack and still make/receive calls (no experience with this).

This would also keep the RF farther away from you. There's still the Bluetooth RF, of course, but I understand it is much weaker -- it only has to communicate with your phone, not the faraway cell tower.
