I’ve finally figured out my upload errors are the website logging me out in the middle of the upload. Seems random, but always fixed after it does it once, I notice, and log back in.
Re: WRUW
Well... my beloved wife , G-d bless her, wanted to surprise me, and got me this, hmmm... timing device.
Well, we all know that they're no strict rules for 'Made in Germany' inscription. So, no surprise when I saw an older model Miyota 21 jewel movement through transparent case back.
What really surprised me was a bracelet with a strong magnet as a 'lock'. Used my phone app to time the watch , it was running so fast that I couldn't even figure out exact number. Took the bracelet off, left the watch running overnight.
And - surprise, surprise - it was fast over 25 min in about 10 hours.
Didn't want to upset my better half, used demagnetizer. After 3 attempts the watch is running about 20 seconds per day fast.
My question: why some one in a right state of mind will even think of using a magnet on a mechanical watch strap?
I have to say, the strap on the photo is aftermarket, this is important.Well, we all know that they're no strict rules for 'Made in Germany' inscription. So, no surprise when I saw an older model Miyota 21 jewel movement through transparent case back.

It looks pretty nice on the strap you changed it to. Big yikes on the magnetic strap! I've only seen those used with smart watches/fitness trackers.nicegator wrote: ↑Mon Feb 05, 2024 11:01 am Well... my beloved wife , G-d bless her, wanted to surprise me, and got me this, hmmm... timing device.
