The alt title was probably "these will never leave our warehouse."

I've sold a lot my watches that would otherwise fit that purpose in the recent re-shuffling of my collection I've been going through. Since the watch would see pool use, I also wanted something with good water resistance. I'm also moving away from watches that push the limits of what works on my smaller wrists, so I didn't want anything much bigger than 40mm diameter or 50mm lug-to-lug.

I'd been searching high and low and didn't quite want another SKX, I debated funding the Ventus kickstarter but didn't want to wait until Sept. for delivery, and then I remembered Deep Blue. You know what else I found?! Coupon code DEEP in our very own discount code database thread here in the forums.

That code took 40% off a Coke bezel 300M water resistant watch with a nice, reliable, Seiko NH35 movement, sapphire crystal, and even a helium release valve (!) on a fitted rubber strap. I got all that watch for $150!! I opted to get an extra black/red NATO strap that the code also took 40% off of. Total for the watch + the extra NATO + shipping ($13) came out to ~$171. A crazy deal for the watch you get with those specs!

https://www.deepbluewatches.com/di10audiblbe13.html

This picture in particular from Deep Blue's Instagram kinda sold me on the Coke bezel too. I was otherwise considering the classic Pepsi bezel or the Batman.
If DEEP stops working the code CYBER (correct me if I'm wrong) will usually be active for 40% off.

Using the SPRING19 discount on a preowned (Store Display. Pristine Condition - Never Worn.) Armand Nicolet TM7 Day & Date also brings this to $480.

MSRP is $3,700

From Slickdeals - Oris Big Crown Pointer Date 40mm Automatic (SW200) Watch 754-7679-4361LS - $499 from Jomashop with code RS100

This one says SHIPS IN 3-5 DAYS which oddly enough for Jomashop can mean it isn't really in stock but it also shows as IN STOCK when you add it to your "shopping bag" and view it there.

DEEP BLUE

How does the Deep Blue compare to a Seiko or Citizen diver type watch of similar category of watch? I know it has the Seiko NH35 from reading above.
Since starting to follow watches, i feel like i have to own a Seiko, or even a Citizen, whether it dress, field or diver style. But i do like the Deep Blue listed above.

I dont have any personal experience, but from what I have gathered, they are on par with entry level Seiko divers(SKX) and citizens (aside from the citizen bracelets which I hear are better). The deep blues just tend to be bigger. Even their new "smaller" diver has a long lug to lug. If you don't mind that, they seem to have a big bang for the buck and their designs all look really good.

Researching this online, I see thickness measurements for this watch ranging from 11mm-13mm. Can someone who owns one, "caliper" this watch for me? If it really is 11mm, I need to get one.

And, if it is 11mm, it must be one of the thinnest Seiko 5s with a rotating bez in existence.

Arguably technically correct. I can't imagine they would ever be *in* style such that they could then *go out* of style.

I can all but guarantee that it is 13mm. If it was 11mm thick, Seiko would be charging $700 for it. And I would probably buy it lol
