Penfold36 wrote:Question on the SKX013 deal: Is it worth going with this one and then picking up a strapcode jubilee or getting an SKX013 that already comes on a bracelet (I'm seeing them around $220-230)? The current deal plus the strapcode puts it around $235. Just trying to figure out the best way to go on this one. Thanks.
You are probably better going with the strapcode. The Seiko bracelet for the 013 looks identical to the one for my 009. Not good. Hollow ends, rattles.
Plus, if you go with strapcode, you will have the bracelet and the rubber strap, too.

Touch of Modern is showing they have a "Watchathon" today with new watch sales every two hours.
However I haven't seen anything new listed since I first checked around 8 this morning, so their timing is a little off.
But still something we should be keeping an eye on nonetheless throughout the day.
Far and wide I will find 'em and I ride 'em
Bricks and mortar get my licks just for kicks
AD or authorized I don't analyze
Retail, wholesale never fail
Online or offline, I find I don't redefine
Too big to fail or yard sale they all hale
Run or hide just for fun deals I find

Go with the rubber and the Strapcode. Although I have no experience with the Strapcode jubilee, I have their Oyster bracelet and it's a very good bracelet. My SKX009 came on the Seiko jubilee and I immediately removed it, even though I'm a bracelet guy. It's cheap, jangly and hollow. I had bought a Seiko SKX rubber strap at the same time I bought the watch and it's either been on that or a NATO strap since I got it.
There are better rubber straps than the Seiko, but it's not bad.

As much as I love my SKX jubilee (once I pinched the endlinks to get rid of the rattles) I would still suggest going the strapcode route. I love my super oyster and with solid endlinks, they are a much superior bracelet.
You can get 10% off as a new subsriber, OR check this sneaky trick out, a few weeks ago I learned that if you leave something in your cart at shnoop, a couple of days later you will get a 10% code to incentivize you to complete your purchase. i did that a couple days ago, had 2 Victorinox 38mm divers in there, and this morning I got the code. It's only good for the day I believe, but I dumped the Vict watches and added the SKXA35, and it worked so I just got it for 150... There's an auction on ebay going right now that shows this as the RARE SKX35A and is currently at 235...with 50 bids, and almost 3 days to go. this is an Asian market watch btw and it's dial looks like the old 7002's

Yeah, but that stock Jubilee is one comfortable bracelet.

I never received the one I ordered the last time they had it at this price and am still waiting to see the refund they said they issued on 4/24. I'd advise steering clear of Shnoop.

I definitely won't be posting any more deals from them until someone can actually say they have received a watch from them. viewtopic.php?f=13&t=618 I guess I was lucky to have my PayPal account refunded. I hope you get your money back soon. At this point I really think there is something a bit nefarious going on. It is occurring too often to be incompetence. For the brave souls that keep trying to order from them, you might want to cross-check what they say they have in stock with what their ebay store shows is in stock. https://www.ebay.com/sch/Wristwatches/3 ... =shnoopcom
Hard to beat the Ray II at this price a very solid watch--I have triplets blue, black and orange. Such a versatile watch, right now one is on a bracelet, another a seat belt nato and another on a leather nato.
