Re: Incoming! What have you got in the mail?
A few different things on the way:
1) A box of 8 unused vintage watch bracelets...got these for $25 on the Bay. Here in Germany these sell for €10 to €50 each. I can make good use of them for some watches I have with odd lug sizes.
2) A box of watches (2 Citizens, a Ricoh, an Enicar and a Seiko 5). All but the Enicar are automatic. Paid $63 for the lot, so about $12.50 per watch. This will be my first Seiko (not counting the Pulsar I bought when I was 16)
3) Boourn’s new vintage Osco Dive Watch, won on the Bay for $52. I’ll be shipping this one to TX.

A nice little Seiko 5 (7S26-0440) for £30.
And a lovely Citizen "Ray Mears". Rare with a titanium strap. £200.

Re: Incoming! What have you got in the mail?
The Zelos Horizons GMT unfortunately just wasn't clicking with me so I returned it. I was super bummed because I was REALLY excited for that watch and it's a truly nice piece, but it just wasn't for me. I do plan to buy another Zelos though sometime. I really like the brand and Elshan, who runs it.
I then snagged what I considered to be a decent "buy it now" deal on eBay for a preowned SSA385 / SARY105 which is one of three "fuyugeshiki" (snowscape or winter scene) Presage watches from Seiko. I found it for ~$100 less than anywhere else I looked. It's no Grand Seiko snowflake, nor is it a baby snowflake, but it's whatever the next lowest tier from that is! I'm looking forward to the neat texture on the dial. The power reserve is definitely more in-your-face than others, but I'm also a sucker for that complication and I'm a fan.

Just arrived and threw it on a Barton strap. I was a little worried about the size, but I think it works.

Pictures just can't quite capture the beauty of the Fuyugeshiki dial.
Congrats!

Re: Incoming! What have you got in the mail?
Just got a UPS notification that a label was created for the only watch I've personally backed on Kickstarter, the Direnzo DRZ 02.
Hoping that label means it will arrive sometime next week!

Re: Incoming! What have you got in the mail?
Still shows "Temporarily OOS," but the price has dropped to 22.49 GBP incl. free UK shipping. Strange that they would drop the price -- each time I check on this listing it shows no inventory. I wonder if maybe the inventory they receive is never enough to fill all the backorders?BostonCharlie wrote: ↑Sun May 05, 2019 12:08 amI'm posting this here because it's related to this discussion and, actually, it is "Temporarily out of stock". -- what kind of deal is that?
Anyhow, Amazon.co.uk has a listing for this Lorus RXF41AX7 (can't tell what kind of back it has) that is 30 GBP incl. UK shipping or $40.50 USD incl. shipping to the US. I walked through the checkout process and this is Amazon's message:
Order now and we'll notify you via e-mail when we have an estimated delivery date for this item.
There are 3rd party sellers with inventory who ship within the UK for 38 GBP total. Maybe they'll ship to EU? The page tells me they don't ship to the US, anyhow, and I tried a couple just to check.
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Lorus-Analogue ... 0088HPSDG/
I'm tempted to place an order just to see if it ever get fulfilled.
When I walk this through checkout with shipping to US, the total is $30.67 including shipping. As before, their message is:
Order now and we'll notify you via e-mail when we have an estimated delivery date for this item.
UPDATE: I placed an order. I'll report if anything happens.
