Re: Heads Up! I Saw A Bargain Here! 2019
Did anybody else get an email from ToM about a National Watch Day promotion? They have a large selection of watches with 20% back in credits up to $3000!
Re: Heads Up! I Saw A Bargain Here! 2019
Nice! Yeah I was pretty sure that code wouldn't work on the Snoopy watch either. Glad you were able to pick one upBruceR wrote:Thank you for the alert. The Timex website said they'd send a 15% off coupon for joining their email list. I did that, applied the coupon, but they wouldn't let me use it for that watch. I bought one anyway. Free shipping, no tax.raheelc wrote: ↑Tue Jun 18, 2019 9:23 am Not really a deal, but more of an alert. Timex has the Marlin Automatic Snoopy back in stock. 4.5% cash back through ebates as well. Not sure if there are any coupon codes applicable or not. If this has been a watch that you've been interested in, now's the time to grab it, since they sell out pretty fast:
https://www.timex.com/marlin-automatic- ... 800ZV.html
Weighing in on another topic, add me to the list that drives a manual and finds them to be much more entertaining than automatics. I'm currently in a 2018 Mazda 6 with a 6-speed manual.
One more thing. I enjoy the occasional sidebar in this forum.

Brother, you have no idea of the depths of my obsession. Especially for the "weird" stuff.
People would probably read my list (if I actually put one together) or see my dream garage and be all

Re: Heads Up! I Saw A Bargain Here! 2019
Yeah, I hadn't checked the math at each price range. I just put in something expensive to check the maximum credit.
$12499
+$10 Shipping
+$875.63 Sales Tax (Ouch!)
-$3000 Promotion Credit
-$1500 Gift Card Discount
-$339.30 EBates Cash Back
=$8545.33
I don't see one under $12k. People at the other place have posted theirs for $14k recently.
Several years ago, I went to a Wempe store in Germany to look at some Glashutte watches in person. The salesman thought if I liked those, I should look at a Lange as well. I could immediately feel how expensive it was and handed it right back.

Fffffff...k....I tried to order and have it shipped to a US address and the order got cancelled. Not so much for the "smart" functions (I already have 4 smart watches) but I like the Skagen minimalist design and for this particular one the titanium case and bracelet.WhaleTail wrote: ↑Mon Jun 17, 2019 4:14 pm Skagen hybrid in titanium on bracelet or leather $60 with HYBRID40 code.

Someone has to explain to me why these companies don't want my money.
The models that the code works for are sold out now, this is why you're getting the error.

On paper, it does seem to pack some punch per pound (or euro, dollar, whatever)....but good God, man...Zodiac, Eterna, H20, Omega, Helson, Maranez, etc....I see numeric triangle indices dials in my sleep! Sorry Submariner homages, you've been "disruptively" replaced as for what is currently on-trend, lol!

norsairius wrote: ↑Mon Jun 17, 2019 10:26 pmLooks great!! I just think the watch might be too big for my wrist, unfortunately, which tends to be around 6.3"-6.5". I can probably pull off at most a 50mm lug-to-lug, which at least makes the new GMT model Citizen diver a fit for me, but I can't find the lug-to-lug for this watch (not sure where I thought I saw it before). Any chance you could measure?? Feel free to PM if you want, I don't want to crowd up this thread with anymore non-deal replies (sorry, everyone!).Samginko wrote: ↑Mon Jun 17, 2019 7:00 pmcitizen.jpgnorsairius wrote: ↑Mon Jun 17, 2019 1:40 pm
Man I love this watch, but the longer lug-to-lug means it’d be too big for my small wrist. I think I read online that it comes in around 52mm lug to lug.

I think it's appropriately sized for what it is. I have 7 1/4" wrist and I didn't think it was over sized.
Lug to lug 51.65mm.
