As you may have noticed, we we're offline this morning. This was caused by the "Thanks" plug-in going rogue and using up way too many server resources. This triggered an automatic suspension by our hosting provider as they thought it was a malicious attack. The "Thanks" plug-in has been disabled, hopefully temporarily so I can determine if that was indeed the cause, and take steps to prevent it from happening in the future.
I apologize for the disruption and for any confusion that may have caused.

Re: [Poll] Is it weird to shave/trim arm hair in the spot you wear a watch?
Ha! Of course, of course.....for a friend. Probably yes it is weird but I guess it may depend on the reason you're shaving it. This is actually from a Reddit Ask Me Anything with Ariel Adams of A Blog To Watch.
Robin Williams, on the other hand, would probably vote for "No shaving."Q: Did you sometimes shave or trim down your arm hair to show off watches?
A: The topic of my arm hair was in the spotlight a while back. First people complained that I had too much arm hair, then people complained when I shaved some off after the first round of complaints. I try to keep it in middle territory length. No way to please everyone.
Re: [Poll] Is it weird to shave/trim arm hair in the spot you wear a watch?
I would say shave/trim it all or don't. Having that one section where someone did shave hair would remind me of those guys who can't fully grow a beard, just random, unconnected patches.

I would say yes, it's weird, but as you can probably tell from my avatar, I'm not a big fan of shaving in general. [emoji6]

Re: [Poll] Is it weird to shave/trim arm hair in the spot you wear a watch?
Is it weird? Possibly.
Do I care? No.
I often get rashes in my "watch area", especially when wearing leather or rubber straps in the summer. Baring the skin helps to mitigate it. I also shave the right wrist as I wear a fitness tracker on it. (Mi Band 3, soon to be 4.)
So to sum up, shaving the wrist gets the MoT Stamp of Approval cause really, who gives a crap about what others think?

Good to hear it gets the MOT approval. Honestly I was just thinking it would make my WRUW pics look better lol.ManOnTime wrote:Is it weird? Possibly.

Also my mi band 4 is being shipped right now so I'll be wearing it on my other wrist too! There's already ways to make your own watch faces for it.

Another option which I may soon employ is to have Mrs. Dub Rubb wear my watches for wrist shots. No hair and no need to shave. Win win!!AndroidIsAwesome wrote:Good to hear it gets the MOT approval. Hair is weird. It’s a column of stacked dead cells bathed in bacteria and other disgusting organisms. It’s like having dead alien tentacles growing all over your body. There’s nothing weird about wanting to remove it.
I’m not from Earth by the way. I may be biased.

Weird? Nahhhh!
Bizarre? Hell Yeah!
The things people think of in this watch hobby never cease to amaze.
Who am I to say.
Maybe I need to go to the tanning salon to even out my unsightly untanned watch spot around my wrist. Hmm!

Re: [Poll] Is it weird to shave/trim arm hair in the spot you wear a watch?
I have done this for wrist shots of thinner watches when stray arm hairs find their way over the watch. I use a trimmer to shorten the hair, not shave it all the way down. It is probably weird in the same way a swimmer shaves their body to give themselves an edge in the water...weird to others.

Did not expect other fans of Impractical Jokers here, as nobody I know has ever heard of it. Fun surprise!
