I’m way younger than you......1966.cel4145 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2020 6:58 pmLOS Season 2 gets better as it goes. The first few episodes of season 2 seem more of an ode to Irwin Allen and the original series with the family facing disaster of the week adventures in space. I thought it got better as the season progressed with the building of an ongoing narrative with a longer story arc. Although I am really biased about this series. I was born in 1965, and I watched Lost in Space over and over again from about the ages of 4 to 10 years old. So I get a kick out of watching even the worst episodes in the two seasons.CVP33 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2020 5:50 pm 1) Witcher is awesome for sure
2) Early adopter on The Boys
3) Watchmen......dear god on so many levels of awesome
4) 6 Underground.....better than I thought it would be
5) Lost in Space - first season was watchable....I’ve watched 2 episodes of season two and it’s just OK. I keep telling myself that S2 of House of Cards wasn’t awesome either (or was it S3)

I just told my wife that we might need to spring for Disney+ in order to give the Mandalorian a try. She thinks baby Yoda is cute, so there is a chance. Would the show hold the attention of someone who is not necessarily a Star Wars fan?

If you have Verizon wireless then you can get Disney+ free for one year. That's what my family has done.

I think so.
It's done well enough that you don't really need to be a fan to enjoy it. It's a grand space-cowboy story, and while there is some fan-service throughout, it shouldn't leave casual fans confused as to what's going on.

Just finished Messiah. Another good one.

Yeah, my wife watched it with me and she's not a Star Wars fan at all.Split-Time wrote: ↑Sat Jan 04, 2020 8:11 pmI just told my wife that we might need to spring for Disney+ in order to give the Mandalorian a try. Re: Best TV Show
Thanks for the replies regarding the Mandalorian. My wife and I really don't watch much TV or movies and have a hard time finding shows we both enjoy. Right now we are watching Parks and Rec and can't get enough, so we probably will not look for anything new for a while...but as a Star Wars fan, Mandalorian has my interest.

+1 for Barry (HBO), Jack Ryan (Amazon) and Letterkenny (Hulu) from me. Also, just finished Silicon Valley (HBO) and I usually found that good for several good laughs (vs courtesy chuckles) per episode.
My wife was about to start The Mandalorian with me but when I told her it’s a Star Wars she changed her mind quick haha.

My wife and I haven't watched the same stuff for years. I'm glad Hallmark is wrapping up their Christmas movies. I'll finally be able to watch t.v. on the big screen in the den again soon. lol
She watches drama's and love triangle movies and the like. Me, I need action, guns, spy stuff, and a high body count. John Wick is the prefect Trilogy for me. Nothing too deep in thought.
Re: Best TV Show
If you are interested in finding something you both might like, try The Americans. Lots of drama and it's literally about spies.Rocat wrote: ↑Mon Jan 06, 2020 12:38 pmWhichWatch? wrote: ↑Sat Jan 04, 2020 11:11 pm +1 for Barry (HBO), Jack Ryan (Amazon) and Letterkenny (Hulu) from me.
