I have this ‘94 Ironman a light cleaning. Needs a crystal polish and a deep cleaning, but it is looking pretty good. The display is clunky with both lines the same size and a divided line between them. Minor color and text/line thickness differences are noticeable compared to the 2000 model.

Of course the earlier model lacks the green ‘day glow’ filter. Aside from a small amount of missing text on the bezel at 10, it is in remarkably good shape and I am glad I jumped on it. The ‘94 is within a year of the model I had in my youth, so I am going to call the hunt over. Functionally, the ‘00 wins out, but the ‘94 has my heart.

I prefer the original layout of the Ironman, that your '94 uses.

Brings back a lot of memories of thinking "What a cool watch!" whenever I would see one in my childhood. I saved my allowances and mowed a lot of grass to be able to buy one, around 1991 or so.

The earlier layout certainly feels more appropriate to the time the watch was made and where I was in my life at the time. I to remember this being the coolest thing. It was the Indiglo that sold me on it and I admit to being under the covers at night playing with my IronMan. That can only be taken one way right?

Yours would have been pre-indiglo since that came out in ‘92 though. I saw the watch and was amazed at the light since. I didn’t know it was a thing until I saw it in the store holding it. Having this watch takes me back and I am pleased to have one again.

Yup. I bought it right before Indiglo debuted, and was "stuck" with it since my parents wouldn't let me buy another watch since I still had one that worked.

If they could see me now...
