1st ever LWDS custom dial case poll

Post by Dub Rubb »

So we are getting closer to having our very first LWDS watches. The logo itself has been decided, now we need to choose what watch to use as a base!

This first poll is solely for the case/strap combo. Any poll choice listing multiple colorways should be optional down the road. Meaning, if we decide on the turtle case, each individual watch buyer will be able to choose their own color* there is no guarantee of this, but in my prior experiences, this was an option.

All watches shown use NH35 movements and have sapphire crystals. Case dimensions go like this:
62MAS- 40mm X 14mm thick with 20mm lugs
Turtle case(bronze or stainless)- 44mm X 13.5mm with 20mm lugs
MM300- 44mm X 15mm with 20mm lugs

I will update this post with renders from the great @Sussa who designed this logo utilizing the equally Great@ManOnTime original site logo. He has also provided all the renders thus far. Big thanks Sussa and All who have participated. Tis truly a collaboration of the MoT collective.

On to the poll

And most importantly, here is the logo to go under 12:00. The text above 6:00 is still TBD. But here is an idea of what we are looking at.

I'm digging the MM300 and 62MAS.

I am not sure how accurate the 62MAS homage is, but here is the reissue side by side with the MM300 homage.

Okay, it looks like the 62MAS is closer to the original and more slab sided. Still has my vote though.

Any thoughts on going through Steeldive on Alibaba, like your MM300 for the BSH? Only downside there is we would need an MOQ of 20 to do a custom logo.

I'm in regardless!

I've thought about it, but that 20 MOQ wasn't even made in the BSH, there were 2 extra, so 20 here would be even harder. Also, 2 of said 20 were DOA. While it is assumed that SM and Steeldive use the same factory, I have found that SM has better QC and great customer service.

While I am impressed by the value that both offer, I am inclined to go with San Martin for rhe peace of mind.
