.... it’s no excuse but I was trying to load a lorry with wheat using a forklift truck- don’t bargain hunt whilst operating heavy machinery is my lesson of the day!!

I would have picked one up if they dropped VAT as that recuded the price by $58.
As I was not loading wheat I sent them a note on the VAT tax, here was their reply to my question.

Well, "Brian", that doesn't help at all actually.
What he is actually saying is: "We can't be bothered to calculate the excess cost for international shipping so we'll just charge 20% for VAT and call it even"

Just an FYI
Wolbrook is doing this as well. Except 20% on a 489 Euro watch (US$577) is about $115 USD and that is far more than the equivilant shipping would be.
If they removed VAT I would have purchased one of their watches even with the Miyota 83XX movement, but I got the same excuse from them about VAT/Shipping as True North.
Can we post/update those examples to it [mention]tjcdas[/mention] and [mention]valuewatchguy[/mention]?
