Happy New Year all.bear a thought for us Brits in 2021...no grey market...no EU purchases without import duties...and our own very special covid strain....onwards and upwards...

It is a pity. Some watches I have bought on the UK without customs. The EU market is getting smaller (and on the continent there is usually nothing).

No update on the starting date of their sale yet, just checked their forum and here's the latest related post:

The first thing usually is that an email will be sent to all those on the mailing list offering an exclusive preview of the sale. This link will take you to a special sale page which will go live at the same time. Within a couple of days the sale page will appear as a link on the main website, indicating that the sale is live and open to all.

As I recall, the “preview” is usually a few days long, and the “public” sale starts at the beginning of the next week. So I’d look for the email sometime between this coming Tuesday and Friday.

The `glass half full` version of that is Britain will be able to set a higher import tax threshold than the pitiful £15 that it is currently for anything outside of the EU...

It’s quite simple. Just become part of a larger trade group or organization so that transactions within that organization are duty-free.

Conceivably, you could even call it a "Union." It seems so daring, but perhaps it could be done. They could negotiate for free movement and trade within this "Union" to give members more opportunity.
