Like most other Minnesota Vikings fans, I've enjoyed the highs and have been crushed by the seemingly inevitable lows. I'm not the type of fan that lives and dies by the successes and failures of the team, but for some reason I was really irritated by them this year.

In my irritation, I saw the chance for a gag and I ran with it. Earlier in December I posted an ad on Craigslist listing US Bank Stadium for sale. The ad went moderately viral with outlets such as the local paper (Minneapolis Star Tribune), the MSNBC web portal, Fox News and various sports blogs covering it.



I was also interviewed by local country music station K102 about the ad for their Craigslist Call series. Have a listen:

Before Craigslist took it down (less than a day), I had quite a few emails come in. All were positive, and a couple asked if I took payments.

My sympathies. If you can decipher my user name you’ll know which branch of service I was in and which NFL team I follow. Despite recent success I know your pain all too well. For me, the 90’s weren’t that long ago.
