MoT's WDF

Well folks, my Rolex wall clock arrived today from AliExpress. Way better than I expected. Here's my review:

Rolex GMT II wall clock

Price shows $76, I paid $65-ish with RetailMeNot rebate and seller coupon

What surprised me:

- The heft. 3.28 pounds to be exact. Thought this would be mostly comprised of plastic or coated plastic to look like metal. It's all metal. 
- The sweeping second hand. The mechanism on the back claims Rolex origins but don't all the watches from China, LOL. 
- The pips/indices are raised metal and really well done.
- The lume. As I was taking the pictures the indices appeared to have lume material on them. After a quick check, absolutely lumed! Awesome.
- Stare-worthy. I could just watch that second hand for.....well maybe a minute. Still cool though.

Also:

- The bezel is of course fixed as is the GMT hand.
- The rehaut is not engraved, again no surprise there.
- My dial was misaligned by a degree and has debris under the "crystal" - removing 4 screws and all is fixed.
- Comes with a mounting hook with a clever way to embed the nails.
- I went with 34cm or 13.39 inches (they do come in 38cm from other sellers as pictured below for sizing)

Expecting the other one I ordered in about another week.

I'm busy cleaning 3 cows now to make the custom strap.

Looks awesome. Mine is still in shipping, but after a long decision, I went with the Polar Explorer II even though it cost a bit more.

Nice! Good size and weight, that's a Rolex I can afford to buy. Does it come with a strap or bracelet?

Comes with a bracelet, supposed to be delivered by truck freight today so definitely not hollow end links. 22" lugs so straps are pretty easy to come by.

Ok this is awesome! I'm asking Santa for one for Christmas!

EDIT EDIT: NVM. Did some digging and found it from that seller. These are so cool for a great price

Your experience is far better than mine with a cheaper clock.

Dumb question: does the date change?

GREAT Idea - but I don't have Rolex on my wrist (too many $$$) so why should I have it on my walls? Gotta look for other brands

In H.S. I had a poster of Heather Locklear on my wall......sadly we were never able to connect. Same for the Vector supercar.

I've really wanted one of these since I first saw them however I think it will just be an added constant reminder to wife of my watch hobby (addiction?, affliction?, madness?.....)

I got one. The blue sea dweller.
The gf needed a gift for me for Christmas so this will be it.
Thank she supports my watch habits to an extent.
