Seiko "5KX" 5 Sports

Post by deckeda »

Bought a SRPD93 from Kohl's cyber week sales. It wasn't terribly on my shortlist, but it's not entirely buying-the-deal either. I've never worn a Seiko diver, not even a pretender, so this ticked a few boxes for me.

I plan on taking advantage of its good looks and drilled lugs and try several straps. Got suggestions? Seems anything black or blue would work. Likely cream and browns also. I'd entertain spending Real Dollars on a bracelet of some kind, also.

The rubber strap is nice and soft but not buttery smooth as more expensive ones would be. G Shock rubber straps disappear a little better against the skin.

It has a black dial when you want it to be black. Or a blue dial when you want it to be a blue dial. Or a sunburst dial when that's what you want.

You get a box with faux-finish paint, just like the 1990s never stopped!

With Seiko, you can drive a car!

The DoD certifies that at least one one these has good chapter ring alignment. It does not however certify that the BEZEL alignment is accurate.

That is a really nice combination of colors- tan, white and medium blue. Very pleasing.
I think this would look really good on a tan/khaki NATO strap.
