Hands are way too short, but what can you expect for a dozen dollars?

They were the correct size at the time of assembly, but they are made wool and they went in the dryer by accident and they shrank.
It's not wool, actually it's some artificial fabrics and it just gets bigger, currently 56mm in diameter. Check the specs:
The tiny hands are made of wool! :D

This looks so cool and is so inexpensive. I want it but I know I'd be chasing the deal and the movement would drive me nuts. Still, it looks so good.

Gnomon has all 3 colorways of the Yema Superman Heritage GMT (LE, 100 per colorway) back in stock for $1,399 ($100 off, discount reflected in cart).

I hadn’t planned to buy a watch today but that blue/gray model is now on its way here. I had been kicking myself because I thought I had missed out on that one.

MLTD has another coupon on G-Shocks. 35NEWYEAR. So if you want the G-Shock x Herschel, it would knock it down from $150 to $97.50.

And no, changing it to 40NEWYEAR doesn't work :)

They also have a lot of the pricier watches as well.

Not to diminish the deal in any way, I just wanted to ask if anybody year had a similar experience with the Yema Superman. I recently picked one up, and was very very surprised with the 3 O'clock bezel lock. While obviously it's just a gimmick, to differentiate themselves in the market, (what they used in vintage pieces is irrelevant, IMO), but it feels like flimsy tinny and doesn't really lock well.... Anyone have a similar reaction?

Again, to reiterate, thanks for posting the deal, their watches do look beautiful, just want to know if anybody had the same experience with their bezel lock...

Happy New Year!

We covered this already in the previous thread. You're thinking about the Swissmatic/Sistem51 movement, which this does not carry.

This watch has an ETA2824-based movement.

Those actually are Powermatic80's are they not? The non metal parts used in them are an advancement, not a drawback, they are not adjustable but a COSC certified Powermatic80 shouuldn't need to be adjusted anyway....I think someone has said they are 'based on' a 2824 but I don't know how much that actually matters considering just how different a movement the end product is. With 80 hours power reserve and no need to regulate, you might feel it has distinct advantages over a 2824, as long as it works

edit: according to this article it is possible to regulate a Powermatic80, but it is not 'user friendly' It's also 3Hz/21,600 bph, not 4Hz like a 2824
and my feeling is we can talk about it as many times as anyone wants to

Yes, this has been covered before, but misinformation is still being spread about these movements. Some of the Powermatic 80 movements do indeed have "synthetic" or plastic parts in the escapement (which can or cannot be a bad thing, depending on your view). The particular movement in question does indeed have a synthetic escapement - movement C07.111. YES, IT HAS PLASTIC PARTS! The ones without the synthetic escapement are the C07.6XX and C07.8XX movements. These are movements that are serviceable, which is the significant difference between them and the Sistem51 movement that is not serviceable. The Powermatic 80's also cannot be regulated by your local watch maker and need to go to Tissot for that.

See the notes at the bottom of the WatchBase page already linked to:

As Swissmatic/Sistem51 vs Powermatic movements have been discussed before, perhaps moving that conversation to a dedicated thread or this thread on movements (viewtopic.php?f=5&t=1365), might focus that discussion better? Then we can refer to that topic when a question comes up in the deals thread.

Just a thought...
