Favorite Watch Purchase / Deal of 2019
Inspired by TheJohnP’s hazy post here, how ‘bout posting a pic of your favorite purchase from yesteryear?
Still deliberating on mine, and have to go through my watch boxes to downselect...will post the outcome tonight.
Edit: Combined with the thread yinzburgher started of the same theme.

What was your best and/or favorite watch deal of 2019?
I got some pretty incredible watch deals in 2019. Many were from right here in the HUISABH thread. And I know I'm not the only one. So what were your best deals and which were your favorites? It doesn't matter if they were new or pre-owned or vintage or where you bought them or whether or not they were posted in the deals thread. List em here. I see how some of you like to brag and show off in the deals thread. Well, this is actually the place for it! So let's see your best deals........pics or it didn't happen!
Casio World Time AE1000W - $4 from Amazon
Citizen Eco-Drive AW7031-54A - Free after refund (initially $26) from Nordstrom Rack (gift to my brother)
Seiko Tuna SRPA82, Tissot Visodate, Seiko PADI Samurai SRPB99 - $123 a piece from Jet but eventually refunded for 1 of them. Averages out to about $82 plus a modicum of time and grief.
Those were my best deals of 2019. And while I'm certainly happy about all of them......they aren't necessarily my favorite deals of the year. Those are below.
Citizen Promaster NY0040-09W - $185 from GioiaPura
Zodiac Aerospace GMT ZO9401 - $1441 from Huckberry ( the most I've ever paid for a watch by far!)

Costco. $289 less 2% rebate nets this out at $283. Oregon store, so no tax:
Kohl's. This cost $31 with tax after all discounts:
It features the nicer strap, too:

Re: Favorite Watch Purchase / Deal of 2019
I saw a lot come and go this year, it was a great and fun year for watch collecting. It's hard to pinpoint a favorite but I'd probably have to go with my Citizen NY-008 "Fugu" diver. I just love the way this thing looks and feels so much.

#1 - Favorite watch of 2019 is the Direnzo DRZ 02.
Purchased on Kickstarter in 2018, but received in 2019, so a bit of a technicality.
(and much better pic)
#2 - Seiko Presage **** Time Fuyugeshiki limited edition
About $293 from a local AD
#3 - Codek Spiral
$200 with the MoT discount code Codek offered. Eventually went much cheaper, but satisfied with what I spent.
#4 - Maurice Lacroix Aikon
$377 from Amazon. Still new in a plastic bag in boxes when it arrived.
Probably pound for pound my best deal of the year. And debated a long time about keeping it or flipping it. Glad I kept it.
And this will likely be my favorite for 2020 when it shows up later this spring...

I am jealous about your find of the ML Aikon. I have been waiting for a big drop on price, but not successful.TheJohnP wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2020 11:07 amHere are mine:watchpalooza wrote: ↑Thu Jan 02, 2020 3:04 am Inspired by @TheJohnP’s hazy post here, how ‘bout posting a pic of your favorite purchase from yesteryear?

How do you feel about the quality and feel about the watch? Does the watch have a decent weight on wrist?
Re: Favorite Watch Purchase / Deal of 2019
2019 was a good year for me... well at least in terms of watches. This hobby can be a nice distraction. Here is to a better 2020...watches and otherwise for all!
Re: Favorite Watch Purchase / Deal of 2019
I just happened to be scrolling through Amazon listings when I saw it.
Figured it was a mispriced and order would be canceled until it finally delivered.
If there was more than the one, I would've shared with the rest of the class. But since there was just the one, I jumped on it!
Beautifully made overall.
Since it is the quartz version, I find it rather light and almost forget I'm wearing it when on the wrist.
The bracelet is probably the most comfortable of the watches I own.
Shame about the integrated lugs, as it would be fun to put it on some additional straps.
