Re: Electric DW03 Tide watch
My Electric California chrono and field watch arrived today. The DW01 chrono on “nato” strap complements the diver well. The Carroway field watch has a strange dial, like it’s been antiqued — this is not obvious from their stock photo at all.
Here are some chrono vs. diver photos to help anybody on the fence. If I were to order just one, I would order the diver. I like its beveled chapter ring, the smaller radius of its indices, and its sub-second ticks.
On the chrono, I like the matte finish of its dial and the slight shine off of the engraved bezel markers (they aren’t just white). I always enjoy small running seconds, and I like that the chrono second hand blends with the dial.
The field watch is quartz, as expected (their stock photo says automatic). I like its domed crystal and its overall proportions (measures 39.7mm x 10.7mm incl. crystal). The strap (22mm) isn’t bad for what I paid ($17.50+tax, shipped).

Re: Electric DW03 Tide watch
Browsing their listings, I noticed that free shipping is now only w/ purchase of $150+, and I couldn't get the RETAILTHERAPY code to work on the couple listings I tried.
It's a little confusing because one page of search results says "50% off Sale On Sale" which sounds like the old promo, and the listings I checked still say "Final Sale." Might be worth contacting them if you still want the old promo to see what they can do for you.

Re: Electric DW03 Tide watch
Anyone know how to set the tide function? Can't find the user manual for my DW03 Tide watch. Set mine a couple of years back when I got the watch, now can't recall how its done.

I found the manual online; basically, tap the crown once to enter tide mode (second hand stops being seconds, and points instead to tide data for 10 seconds.). While in tide mode, hold crown down and the tide/seconds hand moves around the dial; release when it’s at the correct point to indicate current tide level.
Of course, I haven’t actually seen the watch yet, so this is all just theory so far. (Mine is coming on Friday.)

I just tried that on mine and I can confirm it is the correct process.Miblake206 wrote: ↑Thu May 21, 2020 12:28 amI found the manual online; basically, tap the crown once to enter tide mode (second hand stops being seconds, and points instead to tide data for 10 seconds.). This order of mine arrived today. Here is a quick photo of the two chronos I linked to above.BostonCharlie wrote: ↑Mon May 18, 2020 9:15 pm Electric California has a new 50% off sale watches (and other sale items) promo code: SALEONSALE50 (tested). Women's watches:

Here were my (new) picks:
I ordered another diver -- I miss the one I gave to my brother. $26+tax after promo. ~180 BPM second sweep.

and a bicompax (?) chrono w/ a fun bezel and what appears to be good readability. $26+tax after promo.

and a chrono that just looks cool. $34+tax after promo.

On the orange watch, the color on the chrono hands and the running seconds hand is a fluorescent orange that surprised me -- it doesn’t come through in the photo (I like it). This watch also has the best lume on its markers of the four watches I have of theirs — it actually gave me some lume bloom. The lume on the hands isn’t as obvious.
The black chrono is a little different than I expected: the chrono and running seconds hands are brushed. Their photo makes them look black. My photo makes them look white. But the brushing creates a pleasant, subtle effect that changes in the light. A little bit of the black PVD has come off the top lugs. It’s where the bracelet link hits the lugs if it flips around -- you can barely see it in the photo. I hope that isn't a bad sign. If its markers are lumed, I can’t tell. It might have been a return, judging by its (re)packaging.

Re: Electric DW03 Tide watch
Removing the strap bars required two small Phillips screwdrivers with sharp heads. The first screwdriver I grabbed slipped because the blades were dull from use.
My 1.5mm thick nato couldn’t pass through, but a 1.2mm nato works. (22mm wide.)
Maybe I’m crazy, but I love these watches.
