Official LWDS logo thread

Thinking of trying to make a dial run happen for the beloved LWDS. If anyone has any ideas for a nice looking logo feel free to submit. I am also looking into having ManOnTime text either below the minute track(where you would normally see made in Japan/swiss made/whatever), but love to have even a subtle MoT on the dial.

At this point in time, I am ONLY LOOKING FOR LWDS LOGO IDEAS. Once we get that nailed down, we can start looking at the rest.

One thing I do know, is that dials will be 28.5mm, with Seiko feet (either 3:00 or 4:00 depending on dial choice) making them widely accepted into mods. Dial design TBD. For the sake of my sanity, the dial styles I have in mind are the Seiko Turtle(original), MM300, 62MAS, or the classic Submariner. Just to give you a vibe of the rest of the watch. For now at least.

Get that Photoshop out boys, you may just be the creator of the first LWDS logo!

And a big thanks in advance to anyone who participates.

Another option is to simply use the MoT watch face logo at 12:00, maybe as just an outline and then LWDS text below that or at 6:00. Just want to see some font or logo ideas.

I'm happy to be the keyboard monkey if anyone has ideas. I'm several years removed from full-time graphic design work, but I'm still pretty decent with Photoshop and Illustrator. Off the top of my head, I'm thinking something that incorporates or plays off the MoT logo so you don't have to clutter up the dial with two logos.

Anyone up for brainstorming? What words do you think of when you think of LWDS?

Some quick sketches to get the ball rolling. The lower right seems the most promising - turn the MoT logo into a coat of arms with a watch strap criss-crossing behind it. I considered a springbar tool but thought that wouldn't read well. "Fit on a business card" is the smallest logo size I'm used to, so removing enough detail to make it legible on a dial may take some work.

You have more creativity in one L than I do in my entire being.

I’m digging the bottom right design!

Thank you! I am also feeling that bottom right. I know it's not easy putting your rough designs out there, but this is exactly what I was hoping for!!! I appreciate you doing this, and it's exactly what this thread is for. You are nailing it!

Brought the design into Illustrator and played with a few iterations. I like the way the straps in #3 play off the handset in the MoT logo. Thoughts?

Dub Rubb - was there a specific dial you had in mind? I can make some Photoshop mock-ups to help the decision-making process.

Wow!! Really good stuff!!! I think I am partial to #2 with the thinner bezel myself, but this will all come to a vote.

As far as dials are concerned, I have three choices to go with in this order(sterile of course. We can add whatever text we like, but this would give an idea of the lume plots and indices).

#1 Marine Master 300

#2 Vintage Turtle

#3 62 MAS

And again, thank you for putting in the legwork. I truly appreciate it, and know I am not alone!ImageImageImage

Me too bro. That's my #1 choice. The ManOnTime Master or MoT Master could work for the lower text too.

Hold up. Getting ahead of myself. Gotta nail down that logo first.

MoT Master
HUISABH
300M

There I go again.

You're not getting ahead of yourself, that's perfect! I love it!
