Vesuviate Watches out of Singapore have launched their second Kickstarter campaign for their latest model, the Doppio 200M automatic dive watch.
Their first campaign was not successful, but that seemed very high priced. This one looks more reasonable per the specs.


Kickstarter price is around $359
Regular price will be about $480

Estimated delivery is January 2021

Changes from the prototypes shown to production model:
- “DOPPIO” will be added onto the dial face at 6 o’clock
- Fonts on the orange dial will be all black for better contrast
- Increase from three to five layers of AR coating on the sapphire crystal
- Bracelet will include two half-links for micro-adjustment

There are six variants, four dial colors and three bezel color options for the white dial.

Possibly one of the worst designs I've seen in 2020. Impressive feat.

I really like the back of the bracelet more than the front.

In an update about the unsuccessful campaign for the Doppio, Vesuviate watches teased their next release, the Attivo.

As the campaign will end in 12 hours, hence, it is obvious that Doppio will not progress to the production phase! Note - No action is required from your end since this is all-or-nothing funding, Kickstarter will not charge your credit card if the project did not meet the campaign goal. I am indeed very disappointed with the outcome; however, I guess it is what it is when the design was not good enough to attract the customers’ attention and interest; I only have myself to blame!

I have mentioned in my last update one week ago that my next model is a retro-style dress/sport watch – Attivo, as promised I am sharing with you the rendering now.




Generally, fully working prototypes will take at least four months to complete the manufacturing process since I have started the process in early July, I should have all the six prototypes ready by this October. Despite Attivo looks like a dress watch, nevertheless, it will have the sporting DNA of VESUVIATE watches i.e. case/surface hardening heat treatment for the case and bracelets, domed sapphire crystal, Super-LuniNova – BGW9 Lume, and 100m/330ft water-resistant with the Miyota 9015 Gilt workhorse premium caliber. The overall case thickness of 11.00mm measured at the apex of the sapphire (dome height 0.7mm), hence, a very slim tool-watch with just 10.3mm at the edge height!
