You can't resign from your own club!
Every watch deserves a good home and not the cold corner of a watch box.

I can finally say that I'm an official member of the gang! And this new (to me) Airboss isnt just any Airboss... its the OG straight from the hands of Rixsler86 himself! It arrived today after a series of unforseen USPS delays.

Its really nice! I'm a big fan of the styling and while the watch is hefty its not too large or heavy and actually the lightest of all my mechanical chronos. The only thing I dont like is that the clasp feels kinda flimsy and theres no safety /secondary clasp so I feel like if it pops open the watch will slip right off my wrist. But otherwise its an amazing watch, even more so for the price.

edit - realized when setting the watches i got the date totally wrong.. oops

Really liking the lume:

And here's the 'Boss with the rest of the "valjoux crew", fitting in quite nicely with his new brothers:

I still kick myself for not jumping in on one of the TechnoMarine's when they were down to $200 or whatever it was.

I forget the exact price but somewhere between $200-300 sounds right. I thought it would be something I bought for the novelty and quickly sold but its an excellent watch. Super heavy duty.. even the chrono pushers are screw-down. But it's huge and quite heavy and honestly pretty gaudy. And for those with wrists under 7" it'll look ridiculous. Honestly the airboss is easier to wear, nicer looking and much more versatile unless you plan on going saturation diving with some regularity haha

For anyone that still has hope in finding an airboss, I finally found one on a random trip to tj yesterday. Not sure if it was a return or if there's still some coming in. Might be worth a trip to your local maxx.

For those who bought the bracelet from mastersintime what was the average time from order to delivery? I ordered mine on 11/17.

After 2 months wait, I just got my shipping notification from Ocarat. The COVID lockdown delayed the order, and they were GREAT about communicating and asking whether I wanted to cancel my order....but I stayed the course. Glad I did! Hoping it arrives before Christmas.

...and here it is. The quality is very good...milled clasp, solid endlinks, high precision machining, quality pins.

Haven’t worn this one in awhile and decided to strap it on today. And I must say it can’t be understated the value this watch has considering the price most of us got it at. Swiss Chrono movement, applied indices, nice lume and I’m a fan of the butterfly strap it came on. This one will definitely be a keeper for me. It’s watches like this that got me hooked on collecting. It’s not always the most expensive or well recognized brand that gets me. I love getting a great deal, and it doesn’t hurt that I like the watch as well. Image
