Alpina and FC are the same now. I have bought several manufacturer refurbished Alpinas and they have been perfect. In fact, they are so consistently perfect that I don’t think they are refurbished. I suspect they say that so they can dump watches without (supposedly) hurting their brand.

I’d bet $100 the FC you’re looking at comes perfectly wrapped from the factory without a single sign it’s ever been handled at all.

Just an update on this deal. Received a few days ago. Comes with box and tags no warranty card. Not sure if this is genuine Seiko, the chapter ring and bezel line up perfectly!

Mine was just delivered yesterday at old sale price. I gave them a call and customer service agent I spoke with put a request in for new price to be honored and difference refunded after she put me on hold and spoke with someone.
Not holding my breath but was worth a shot.
