Waltham Watches introduced the first waterproof watch that actually worked.
All waterproof watches and dive watches on the planet today can be traced back to the technology that Depollier and Waltham developed during the Great War.



Watch Angels will be reviving the brand with a new interpretation of the classic Field & Marine watch.




In the Watch Angels© Crowdmanufacturing system, Angel pre-sale is dedicated to watch lovers which commit to the project based on the design intention. They activate the project and get rewarded with the factory cost price and limited edition Angel watches.

Following the great request for Angel seats that have been flowing in over the last 2 weeks because of the return of the Waltham brand, we thought it was important to outline how the limited Angel seats are allocated to give everybody a fair chance. The seats are assigned as follows:

- Priority list n° 1 = Angels from previous projects
- Priority list n°2 = Participants to the creative phase of previous projects
- Priority list n°3 = Waltham enthusiasts who have signed-up for the project
- No priority = All other Waltham and watch enthusiasts

Watch images and prices will be released according to priority lists 1,2 and 3 in advance of the start of the official Angel pre-sale. If you are on one of those list you will be able to reserve the watches immediately on a first come first serve basis.

Hopefully they will get sorted during the design process- for the last project there was a questionnaire that was voted on by the angels and changed a few things, so the design isn’t final- that’s the gamble the angels take, I’m trying to think of a biblical metaphor but I’m drawing a blank!!

Further to [mention]pdsf[/mention]mentioned, Guido the guy in charge of watch angels used to be the head man at Alpina. I found this out when I told him I loved my Alpina Alpiner 4 but it was too big to wear everyday, he replied that it was one of the watches he had developed. I don’t think he took it personally....!?

If he did, then that's his problem.

To be fair he is a really nice guy, always answers my emails etc! I’m very excited about my Cedric bellon watch

He was also very responsive to my questions. I can't wait for you to get it - I am going to live vicariously through you!

I MAY go into this, but am a little concerned about the overall sizing and whatever that copper ring material is on the crown. Not a fan of anything softer than steel on the crown system.
