Ok - as of now, there are 346 backers....lets see how many new backers arrive to take advantage of the free $70 strap over 48hrs.
My guess is this number is going to hover +or- 10 from 346. So, piss off 340 initial backers for 10 or 20 new backers?? WTF!

I understand Kickstarter is an experimental funding platform where creators can try things out but.....this is just stupid business practice and starts you with negative goodwill on your new business, which makes no sense.
Just like the creators who double the Kickstarter price after 24hrs and then fall short of their goals...?
Just like the creators who double or triple their goals, without a plan to deal with the extra productions and all the logisitics associated with biting off more than they can chew, and piss off the people who backed you ?

With less than 24 hours to go until the campaign ends, they still need to raise 3,532 AUD to unlock the red dial.
Possible, but probably 50/50 at this stage.

Several folks have backed out, so there are seven Early Bird pricing slots currently available at around $432.
If those all get claimed, that should be enough to make the red dial a reality.

To follow up, this Kickstarter campaign was:

SUCCESSFUL

Myself and 352 backers pledged AU$ 234,136 to help bring this project to life.

On a side note, just 6 new backers pledged after the free strap thingy = not a great result via this tactic but I guess live and learn. In fact, a few people may have cancelled their pledges, as there were some super-early birds available in the final day? Or it may have been some switching to the 2 or 3 watch packages?

Regardless, looking forward to this one and hoping things go smooooth the rest of the way!

I think it's a salmon for me, which is a colourway I do not have....but the grey dial looks sweet too :)

Didn't seem they hit the stretch goal for the red dial, hut wonder if they'll go ahead and offer it anyway.

Either way, I'm 90% sure I'm in for grey.
The red is tempting but never like to decide on just a render.

Going full Salmon, dial + ordering a salmon skin strap for it to complete the theme

Per Kickstarter Update, it appears the red dial is a go....

Shame there's not enough time for prototypes of the red dial.

Second Hour has opened up Mandala preorders directly through their website.

https://www.secondhour.com.au/shop/the-mandala

Preorder price is AUD 640 (roughly $495)

Since the red dial variant is a go, they've added renders for both the date and no-date versions:
