Definitely a keeper for the long run collection. Specially at the $70 price range for a Special Edition. The watch is very well made, I like the Puck type case and crystal. Even though it is only a 38mm watch, the strap makes it wear more normally and as always great contrast for easy time viewing. The Sunburst orange hands contrast well with dark brown dial. The strap is nice, maybe it will soften up better.. but defintely not as good as the Bertucci Bison Straps that are just sublime. I'll try a different strap tomorrow.

Maybe there is a better place for this, but here goes: pre-owned titanium 34mm Timex quartz, (bad strap), $25 OBO + S&H.

Update to clarify: this isn't my listing. I stumbled across it looking for field watches for the mechanical field watch challange. ...

Update #2: Now sold!

Thanks for the context. I did not know what to make of it. I would've got it since it is a Ti case and those are pretty rare with TX.

I recently picked up a Timex + Todd Snyder Military Watch from My Gift Stop. A 40mm quartz watch; reference TW4B05800JR. I vaguely remember liking the look of these when they first came out. But more recently I saw some photos that made me take a second look. And I'm glad I did. I really love the dial and the use of color on this. I think it's a great looking design and very unique for a field watch. It's basically a remake of a dial on a vintage automatic Timex. Wolfsatz did a mini-review of this watch a while back (link below) that I wish I had found prior to ordering. While I was aware that this watch did not have Indiglo, I had wrongly assumed that it had a stainless steel case. When it arrived I realized the case is in fact brass. But now I don't even care because I'm otherwise smitten. I think it looks great......it's a keeper!
