I have wanted to try one of these for a long time -- originally wanted the blue with yellow hands. This popped up on Watchrecon the other day and when he lowered the price to $180 this morning I couldn't resist anymore.AndroidIsAwesome wrote: ↑Wed Aug 28, 2019 3:26 pmSo jealous. I've been waiting for the bracelet to come in stock. They're supposed to be online on September 1st. And a new black and silver versions are coming in November. I might just get the black on bracelet on September 1stBoourns wrote:

Well I was fortunate enough to get what I'd call a good deal on a marathon tsar with bracelet and vulcanized strap for $350. About time I bought something Canadian besides poutine lol.

Well to add more wood to the fire I also bought a sarb017 because I was mad I missed a good deal on one earlier this week. So now I probably won't buy a Scurfa diver one.... probably..... Or I could cancel the sarb order and buy a diver one, but I feel like the sarb will only get harder to find.
Think I'm done buying anything until Christmas

The specs, a full lume dial and a jubilee bracelet for $199.20 was too hard to pass up.

After a couple weeks of negotiating, I finally have this 1968 Seiko 6117-6101 with the “Error Bezel” incoming! Notice how London and GMT are not the same time zone... explained here if you’re interested: https://www.watchiwant.com/showthread.php?tid=698

Got this a couple of days ago. I've owned a few Oris's, including a number of Aquis models. The new ones are just terrific. Whilst integrated lugs can be limiting, Oris have worked them to make a watch feel and look great.

Just came in and is temporarily on this NATO until my army green Barton Canvas shows up. Already loving the vintage dome crystal. Can’t believe it’s taken me this long to dive down the Vostok rabbit hole!

Not at all! I got it from seller enerjystore on eBay during the last 10% off sale. Came in a cheap plastic box but was well wrapped in bubble. It’s not too much more to order through meranom.com and that’s probably where I’ll order my inevitable Amphibia from.quincas wrote:That's a real nice one you got there! Congrats!Rabirnie wrote:

For what it’s worth, the watch is currently running well within spec at +7 spd. I’m a big fan of the octagonal case, vintage dome, and crusty/jagged/wonky screw down crown.

Thanks for the heads up John!

Nice pickup. I've always wanted to try one of these out. Came very close to pulling the trigger on one of the grey dials. Enjoy!recapt wrote: ↑Fri Aug 30, 2019 8:09 am After a couple weeks of negotiating, I finally have this 1968 Seiko 6117-6101 with the “Error Bezel” incoming! I'm a fan of geometric shapes and vintage air. We need more unique and innovative case shapes!
