I’ve never been any kind of NASA watch fan. The Omegas bore me to death and the others seem like kinda ridiculous novelties. Several of my professors in school came from NASA and DOD and they were a kind that just makes this stuff seem cheap to me.

However, this is different. It’s not for me, but it’s one of the cooler NASA watches to me.

Agreed. None of the Traskas spoke to me. Just nothing new in those designs. The Raven DLC was close, but my eso already fills that DLC diver, cushion case microbrand.

According to Formex, while these are not limited-edition watches, “summer colors” will be produced in limited batches, and for the summer season only. Again, Formex has the ability to produce dials in-house and thus can engage in the production of many different types of dials. Given that these dials must be carefully produced, often with hand color-spraying and then CNC machining, and they must be made in controlled batches (as opposed to one at a time). The names of the colors for this summer are sunflower yellow, jungle green, sunset orange, baby blue, and lavender purple. For this article, I decided to shoot the lavender purple version of the Formex Essence Leggera 43 mm and the sunflower yellow dial version of the Essence 39 mm.

I think this model has the smallest dimensions of any Magrette model (please correct me if I'm wrong). That plus the titanium should make it comfortable to wear on the wrist.

@TimePeace I believe you’re right. The other cushion case is 44mm. This one with the red date wheel made it a MUST have. Love when the dial and date wheel are color-matched.

@PnT Thank god it’s 40mm. So many of the good looking Bulovas are 46mm and larger. Great for gorillas……my pewny wrists, not so much.
