New watches under $1K that people forget

Lots of knowledge on this site. Would love to hear about some rare-ish watch brands that are under-loved.

The designs certainly aren't for everyone, but they're also unlike anything else. The original model, the Duneshore Calligraph, is a hearty 44x42mm case but wears very well thanks to a curved case back.

The Duneshore Shallows adds a rotating bezel and solid case back:

They recently redesigned the website and scrubbed all mention of two other models: the Vale Park Officer and the Linden

The Vale Park Officer has a well-lumed sandwich dial and a hunter case back.

The Linden was an attempt to make a smaller watch while still keeping the design language of the Calligraph. It is more understated, maybe too understated for the brand.

The Duneshore Calligraph Kickstarter campaign launched in 2014, making them an elder statesman among microbrands. It still seems to be a one-man operation, or close to it. I own three of the models above and had a need for warranty repair once. Phil Rodenbeck, the owner, was easy to work with. It's been three years since the Shallows, their most recent model, was introduced and I hope there's something new in store for the upcoming 10-year anniversary of the brand.

Never heard of Visitor. I like that first design a lot!

Bernhardt out of NC is another brand I like. New designs usually sell out quickly.

I'll have to second Glycine. I personally love their designs, the build and finish quality is very good, and the prices you can get them at on sale from places like Ashford are downright robbery.
They're not all under $1k but it's a shame not more is made of Dekla- beautiful designs, excellent finishing, and truly in-house manufacturing.

Some day I will come across a Vale Park Officer at a price I like, and it will be mine.

I'll third the sentiment. I've had a couple of Glycine and they were both impressive watches.
