In the process of cleaning my desk, I'm pretty sure I managed to throw out the registration/license tabs for our beater car.

The next logical step is to clean the garage.

He can always use the other one. :) 2020 has probably taught many of us bilateral bird flipping skills.

Working on a rental awhile back, I saw evidence that a critter was in the attic. I poked my head up there and didn't see anything, so I figured it had found a way out. A cooler day comes around, so I turn on the electric furnace. Yes, the critter had found its way into the furnace, and stinking smoke is now getting pumped throughout the house. OMFG. Turns out it was a possum. Okay, all clear, time to clean up. Days later, I open the furnace to clean it up, and what do I find: another (live) possum caught in the blower housing. I had removed the heating coils to access the first possum, so this guy fell all the way down into the blower. I dump him outside and he wanders off. Okay, all clear, continue cleaning up (and patch the d-d duct). After many days, we begin to suspect there is a third possum. It took longer to find him, because he had died in the attic buried in insulation, so I had to nose him out (yuck). So I guess it was a litter of possums who found themselves trapped after our roofer fixed things. Who would have guessed?

LTDR: If you think there's a critter in your attic, set a trap. You can borrow the one I bought after it didn't matter anymore.

PS- None of the critters were wearing striped shirts. In memory of lost possums, here is one of my favorite single-panel Pogos:

Update on me being dumb: the tubes and fat springbars don't give a damn about my wire cutters. It's either dremel time or maybe I'll just accept its fate as a fixed lugs watch.Image
