Re: LWDS (The Legion of Watch Deal Seekers)
Late to the party and my first post in LWDS, so figured I should be triple-compliant.
Two crowns, NATO and an adult beverage.
(I'm doing this right, right?)

I'll also second brisket. And throw tri-tip into the running.mrb12186 wrote:Third! How does a brisket factor into these compliance protocols?Dub Rubb wrote:I second this motion. If it gets a third it becomes law.Boourns wrote:I move that any watch pictured with a beef rib be deemed compliant:

This could get complicated, so I am in favor of something a bit more general than ‘ribs’. Even BBQ may be too restrictive. In the same way that ‘adult beverage’ is broad and up to interpretation, this should be as well.mrb12186 wrote:Third! Let it be compliant any timepiece accompanied by meat deliciously prepared by smoke or flame regardless of beast, cut or spice.

Damn homie! What an entrance into the Legion! Yes you are doing it right, more so than myself today. Also, for the record, being non-compliant isn't a bad thing either. Just acknowledge your non-compliance and you are good to go. This is a (semi) judgement free place. Compliance is just for fun. Triple compliance is for the truly elite. I have been trying to think up a modded, vintage two crown seiko titanium field watch with a Signed crown for ultimate compliance.ShoreFire77 wrote:Late to the party and my first post in LWDS, so figured I should be triple-compliant.

Well said, and compliance shall be deemed upon those whose watches are near meats deliciously prepared by smoke or flame with the proper preparation.Sporkboy wrote:This could get complicated, so I am in favor of something a bit more general than ‘ribs’. Sadly, not quite sure the difference between a NATO and a Zulu(hardware??) But my attempt at compliance today. Threw in an adult beverage for good measure.

Sup Legion?! Total noob here. I usually pop in to see what's going on, realize I'm not in compliance, and scurry back out. But today this Bell's Oberon helped my SARB033 stay compliant. Be well folks!
Re: LWDS (The Legion of Watch Deal Seekers)
Good to see you around these parts bud! You are always welcome around here. And compliance isn't mandatory, just a fun factor. Whether compliant or not, post what you got when you check in. And how things seem to be going, we may have lots of ways to be compliant!yinzburgher wrote:Sup Legion?! Total noob here. I'm going to start carrying around a whole roast pig everywhere I go just so I can always be compliant.Dub Rubb wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2019 10:22 pmGood to see you around these parts bud! I wish that watch were 38mm?
Re: LWDS (The Legion of Watch Deal Seekers)
While I am flattered, I am uncomfortable that a rule is named after me because I came up with the phrasing. I propose that this should be called ‘The Carnivore Rule’.Dub Rubb wrote:And the Sporkboy Rule is now in effect! For the record, I am truly enjoying this!

If you want to name a rule after me, it could be the custom MOT watch face rule that isn’t yet in effect because of work projects that have come up.
